Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 12, 2026 · Slater's Professional Tree Care

Slater's Professional Tree Care wants everyone in Sonoma County to be able to use this website — including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technologies. We are committed to making slaterstreecare.com accessible and to improving it continuously.

Our Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The Site is partially conformant with that standard today: most content meets it, and we are actively working on the parts that don't yet.

What We've Done

  • Semantic page structure with proper headings, landmarks, and native controls (real buttons for menus and accordions, with ARIA expanded/collapsed states)
  • Text alternatives on meaningful images, and descriptive link text rather than "click here"
  • A color palette designed for strong contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom up to 200% and small screens without loss of content
  • Forms with visible labels, clear required-field indicators, and error messages
  • No content that flashes, auto-plays with sound, or traps keyboard focus

Known Limitations

Some third-party content embedded in the Site — such as Google Maps — is controlled by its provider and may not fully meet our accessibility standard. Some older photographs may have brief alternative text while we improve descriptions. If you encounter anything difficult to use, we want to know.

Need Help Right Now?

You never need the website to work with us. Call 707-404-8628 and a member of our team will personally help you request an estimate, schedule service, or answer questions — and we're happy to accommodate any communication preference, including email at slaterstreecare@gmail.com or text message.

Feedback

If you experience an accessibility barrier on this Site, please tell us: email slaterstreecare@gmail.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line, or call 707-404-8628. Please include the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within a few business days and to fix verified issues as quickly as we reasonably can.

Compatibility

The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack used with those browsers.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is a continuing effort, not a checkbox. We review the Site as we add pages and features, and this statement is updated as our work progresses.
